PROFILE:

Dr. G. D. Pol Foundation is a registered trust under Bombay Public Trusts act, 1950 and is registered at Mumbai. This Trust was established for the specific object of imparting education and conducting various educational institutions accordingly. Its main objectives of providing education in the field of medical, Para-medical, technical and management etc. including free medical treatment to needy in general and poor mankind in particular. In addition to it, it has objects of providing medical services to the general masses at the very reasonable and charitable cost. Since its incorporation in 1989, it has made an overall progress and fast development in the field of medical education by fulfilling its objects

At present the trust is conducting and managing successfully three medical colleges and their attached hospitals, Management College and Nursing College at its own campus at Kharghar Navi Mumbai. The trustees are conducting and managing Y.M.T. Homoeopathic Medical College since 1989. The intake capacity of this course is 100 students per annum. Government of Maharashtra has granted to the Trust the permission to conduct a degree Homoeopathic Medical College as per G.R.No. MED/CR-292/95/ED-2, DATED 22-10-1996. In addition to it the Central Council of Homoeopathy, Department of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi, an Apex Body in the field of Homoeopathy has also given recognition to the Y.M.T. Homoeopathic Medical College (B.H.M.S. Degree Course) since academic year 1996-97. Further, the Y.M.T. Homoeopathic Medical College is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik vide its letter no. AFF/EE RECO/5679 of 1996, dated 22-11-1996

In 2002 with the active support and dedication of Management, & staff, the college scaled new height with the introduction of the Post graduate courses in Homoeopathy for both regular and external candidates. Recognized by Central Council of Homoeopathy, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare New Delhi & Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai, Affiliated to University of Mumbai. This institute is the first Postgraduate Centre in the city of Navi Mumbai & Mumbai. All the departments are well equipped with computers, charts, overhead projectors, slide projectors, seminar rooms and a separate departmental library. The College has a well equipped computerized library for P.G. students. Each department has a separate library. It is an asset for the connoisseur in a medical literature.

This is full fledge college provides all facilities to its students. Till the year 2015 there were near about 2500 students who were passed out B.H.M.S. and MD Hom from this college and rendering the Health Services through out the Maharashtra. Students of this college are ranking in the merit list of the examination held by the University of Bombay and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

Also in addition to above stated YMT Homoeopathic Medical College, the applicant is also successfully conducting and managing the Y.M.T. Ayurvedic Medical College conducting a B.A.M.S. Degree course since November 1991. The Y.M.T. Ayurvedic Medical College is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and Central Council of Indian Medicine, Ministry of Health, Government of India, New Delhi, an apex body in the field of Indian system of Medicine has given the recognition to the Y.M.T. Ayurvedic medical College. This College has an intake capacity of 100 students per annum.

This is full fledge college provides all facilities to its students. Till the year 2015 there were near about 1278 students who were passed out B.A.M.S. and MD Ayur from this college and rendering the Health Services through out the Maharashtra. Students of this college are ranking in the merit list of the examination held by the University of Bombay and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

A well equipped and well furnished full fledge Hospital of 270 beds is maintained by the Ayurvedic College at Khraghar, Navi Mumbai. Well experienced and well qualified medical practitioners and specialists attending this Hospital and rendering their valuable services to the thousands of needy patients. This hospital is having its own operation theatre in it and all sort of major and minor surgery are carried out in it. This hospital provides medical treatment and facilities at very reasonable charitable rates and within the reach of the common man.

In addition also successfully conducting and managing the YMT Dental College and Hospital This College is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and Dental Council of India, Ministry of Health Government of India, New Delhi an apex body in the field of dental education. This college has an intake capacity of 100 students per annum. This is a full fledged college and is being conducted and managed successfully. This College is having all well established various laboratories and has all types of required instruments and infrastructures. There are 400 students taking education in the dental college. There is nearly 111 well-qualified and experienced teaching staff consisting of professors, Assoc. Professors, Readers & Lecturers in the college. The College & Hospital are supported with adequate non-teaching staff numbering about 103. The Dental College is an independent institution with full complement of staff including the Dean. The College has enough teaching, pre-clinical, Para-clinical and allied medical sciences owned by the college itself. There are total 16 full fledge departments in the college namely Prosthodontic, Conservative Dentistry, Pedo-dentrics, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Medicine and Radiologist, Pathology and Microbiology, Dental Pharmacology, Dental Anatomy, General Medicine, General Surgery, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, General Anatomy, General Human Physiology and Biochemistry, Dental Material. There are 308 dental chairs, several equipments like Ceramic Lab, OPG and RVG in the college.

In 2007 with the active support and dedication of Management, & staff, the college scaled new height with the introduction of the Post graduate courses in Dental. This MDS Course is affiliated by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and Dental Council of India, Ministry of Health Government of India, New Delhi an apex body in the field of dental education. All the departments are well equipped with computers, Dental Chairs , overhead projectors, separate departmental library. The College has a well equipped computerized library for P.G. students.

The College has its own a Mobile Dental Van & Ambulance. With the help of this Mobile Van & well qualified medical practitioners and specialists, the college has arranged periodical medical camps. Thousands of people from New Panvel, Kalamboli, Belapur, Nerul, Vashi, and Curry Road have taken the advantages of this facility. In these camps Consultancy, X-ray Facility and medicine is provided at free of cost. There is adequate hostel accommodation & Mess for 200 girls and boys as well as staff.

A well equipped and well furnished full fledge General Hospital of 120 beds is maintained by the Dental College. Well experienced and well qualified medical practitioners and specialists attending this Hospital and rendering their valuable services to the thousands of needy patients. This hospital is having its own operation theatre in it and all sort of major and minor surgery are carried out in it. We also have Post-OP & ICU facilities. This hospital provides medical treatment and facilities at very reasonable charitable rates and within the reach of the common man.

Along with three Medical College and its attached Hospitals they are also successfully conducting and managing MBA (MMS) and MCA Institute and Nursing College from an academic year 2005-2006. The management college is started to impart world class Business education under the guidance of some of the most experienced business teachers. Both the college buildings are well equipped with the required library books, computers, equipments and furniture. Required permissions from the various councils are obtained.

We have excellent facilities for Staff and Student for i.e Playground, Jim, Canteen, Hostel etc we also have lot of cultural function & medical camps for Student Development.
